UN Women supports gender mainstreaming, particularly in key thematic issues, across the UN system to ensure that gender equality and the needs and priorities of women and girls are addressed.  This is done through guidance and by providing advisory services to build the capacity of UN entities and other relevant stakeholders. UN Women also leverages interagency coordination mechanisms that it either leads or participates in to include gender equality considerations in processes and products.
