This assessment focuses on the representation of persons with disabilities in the workforce of Ethiopia with sex and age disaggregation. The study used all available data sources including national surveys and censuses undertaken by CSA and some administrative data. The report visualizes the available data, shows gaps and areas for improvement, and undergoing efforts to enhance disability statistics.

This Guidance Note provides an overview of the gender equality marker and its application for the COVID-19 MPTF. It offers a checklist of minimum criteria, as well as tips and good practice examples to support gender mainstreaming throughout proposals and ensure applicant UN organizations

UNIDO’s project and programme approval function requires all projects and programmes to assess their envisaged contribution to gender equality and the empowerment of women as a precondition to approval for implementation. The Report represents the first United Nations system wide effort to examine disability and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at the global level. The report reviews data, policies and programmes and identifies best practices; and uses this evidence to outline recommended actions to promote the realization of the SDGs for persons with disabilities.

The ESCAP Disability Inclusion Policy is developed in line with the United Nations Disability Inclusion Strategy (UNDIS). The Policy sets out the vision of ESCAP to be a fully disability-inclusive organization.

The website contains information and resources to promote and support the right of people with disabilities to decent work taking a twin-track approach to disability inclusion. One track allows for disability-specific programmes or initiatives aimed at overcoming particular disadvantages or barriers, while the other track seeks to ensure the inclusion of disabled persons in mainstream services and activities, such as skills training, employment promotion, social protection schemes and poverty reduction strategies.

The Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) is the body of independent experts which monitors implementation of the Convention by the States Parties.
