UN Women, in its founding resolution, was mandated to ensure accountability and coordination across the UN system to lead progress on gender equality. The report reflects on the various forms in which it’s coordination efforts manifest across the UN system to advance gender equality, sharing also stories of good practice and the multiple drivers which catalyse and advance the work undertaken globally and in partnership with others

This paper contributes to the development of intersectional approaches for addressing sexual harassment as it manifests in the lives of women with disabilities. It also offers advice and support for policy makers.

This series of briefs addresses a range of issues related to the empowerment of women and girls with disabilities. Building on UN Women's corporate strategy on the issue, the objective of this series is to analyse and assess global trends across various thematic areas from a perspective of gender-responsive disability inclusion.

This assessment focuses on the representation of persons with disabilities in the workforce of Ethiopia with sex and age disaggregation. The study used all available data sources including national surveys and censuses undertaken by CSA and some administrative data. The report visualizes the available data, shows gaps and areas for improvement, and undergoing efforts to enhance disability statistics.

The study is the first of its kind in Sri Lanka to use a gender budgeting framework to examine government plan, policies and budgets and its impact on women with disabilities. In this study, 400 persons with disabilities covering 4 districts were surveyed on difficulties faced in entering and remaining in the labour force. Evidence shows that they encounter multiple barriers in access to economic opportunities and women with disabilities are twice as disadvantaged
